"Helping you get into the World of Amateur Radio"
Huntingdonshire Amateur Radio Society (HARS) welcomes all newcomers to its regular meetings where you will find a warm, friendly, relaxed, comfortable and informal atmosphere with plenty of likeminded people willing to share their experiences and knowledge with you. We have tea, coffee and biscuits available at a nominal charge during our meetings. HARS has assigned the Amateur Callsign GØHSR.
Our Club Chairman John G0FIK says "if you have an interest in any aspect of radio or Amateur radio you are most welcomed to attend our meetings and engage with our members who are more than happy to share their knowledge and years of experience whatever age".

Aims of the Club
- HARS has many active members with very wide interests in operating amateur radio including an active CW (Morse Code) training and appreciation group. We are a very dynamic Club which listens to our members and their needs and the changing world of the hobby.
- If you require any assistance with getting on air either through working a Repeater or HF then reach out to a member of the Committee by email as they may be able to get help to achieve this for you.
- We strive to provide interesting and inspiring Presentations at our Club Meetings by Guest Speaker or by Club Members who have a passion for a specific section of amateur radio or from their working environment.
- Our Club promotes awareness of the hobby out in the local Community through various Special Event Radio Stations during the year. These events are also used to celebrate or commemorate a specific event or occasion which could be an anniversary, an historical event or date, maybe a festival or even a milestone of achievement. If you have any of the above coming up and would like Club Members to put on a Special Event Station for you them please due contact us to discuss what we may be able to do.
